Request by Ute Gunsenheimer, Secretary General of the EOSC association:

On behalf of the EOSC-A Board, I am pleased to announce that the **call for members of the EOSC-A Task Force** for the 2027-2028 period has been [launched today](https://eosc.eu/eosc-association/eosc-task-forces/call-for-eosc-association-task-force-members-for-2027-2028).

Applications must be submitted by **30 September 2026 (23:59 CEST)**. Please visit the [call page](https://eosc.eu/eosc-association/eosc-task-forces/call-for-eosc-association-task-force-members-for-2027-2028) to review the Charters of the new Task Forces, as well as the eligibility criteria and application requirements. The **five new Task Forces** are:

• FAIR Data and AI

• Health Data

• Long-Term Data Retention and Reusability

• Quality, Trust, and Sovereignty of Data

• Semantic Interoperability

We would greatly appreciate if you could **share this announcement within your organisations and networks** as we particularly encourage experts from Members and Observers to consider applying.

**Why new Task Forces?**

The mandates of the [four current EOSC-A Task Forces](https://eosc.eu/eosc-association/eosc-task-forces) come to an end in 2026. The call is launched following the decision of the Board to renewed Task Force structure for the period of 2027-2028 reflecting on the evolving needs of EOSC and the [EOSC Federation](https://eosc.eu/building-the-eosc-federation) and the priorities emerging from the forthcoming EOSC Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA 2.0).

**Why participate?**

Members of the new Task Forces will have a unique opportunity to **strategically shape and advance EOSC** through their professional insights during a critical period as discussions about Europe’s next framework programme culminate and the EOSC Federation enters operations. They will contribute to the implementation of SRIA 2.0 priorities and liaise with EOSC-related Horizon Europe projects and Common European Data Spaces to coordinate key activities.

Members will be onboarded in November 2026 and the new Task Forces will officially begin their activities in January 2027.

Please note that applying for a taskforce needs a bit of preparation, since it involves including a CV and an endorsement letter.
