Upcoming CLARIN Training Events

Here is an overview of upcoming training events supported by or co-organised by CLARIN ERIC in collaboration with the Trainers’ Network, members of the user involvement committee and former ambassadors. Please disseminate in your university networks.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: 8-9 April, Tartu, Estonia: Working with Sensitive Data in Linguistics by Henk van den Heuvel. The event is hybrid and registrations are still open: Privacy by Design in Linguistic Research - MEDAL.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: 14-23 May, Helsinki, Finland: Helsinki Digital Humanities Hackathon. This interdisciplinary event is open to researchers and students in computer science, data science, and the humanities. :backhand_index_pointing_right: 16-20 June, Pisa, Italy: PISA Summer School: Digital Tools for Humanists. Our trainers, Rachele Sprugnoli and Giulia Pedonese, will introduce students to Natural Language Processing, FAIR principles, Open Science, and how the CLARIN research infrastructure can be used to discover, explore, and deposit linguistic resources. If you plan to attend the conference, please check out the programme of the pre-conference workshops. Our trainers and User Involvement members, Giulia Pedonese, Alexander König, Martin Wynne, and Megan Bushnell, are organising a pre-conference workshop on Applying FAIR Data Principles in Corpus Linguistics: CL2025 - Workshops.

The programme is still under construction, but CLARIN will be represented through a panel, one workshop, one tutorial and poster presentation. More details soon. :backhand_index_pointing_right: 24 July -1 August, Besançon, France: The European Summer University in Digital Humanities ‘Culture and Technology’. Our trainer, Isuri Anuradha from Lancaster University, will teach a workshop on Text analysis/prompt engineering on historical data. Applications open until 18 May: Application and Fees - MM.
